Brothers and sisters

Dear jesuslovers, dear follerwers, dear @ll. Lisa and I were visiting the brothers and sisters in Corinth, Greece. It is a small church and we were maybe 15-20 people and later for the Lord’s Supper maybe only 10 people. A nice sister from Netherland who spoke Greek, because she lived here for many years, translated the sermon of Brother Nikos. I can really say that this church wants you to follow Jesus. The Word Of God is thaught here and it is the living word. No cermony or let’s say, no extra flash lights and no special effects. Just the word, sung songs (the Pastor and the whole congregation sang with heart). We couldn’t, because we can’t read greek letters. All in all we were a little sad, because only one family with kids appeared. Lisa, me from Germany and Eleni from Australia as guests. On the way to this small greek church we drove by the big St. Paul church and I thought, the ones with the biggest cars (and there were a lot) surely get also the best seats. How unjust. Here Pastor Nicos with no Tamtam spreading the Gospel and there a church – Greek Orthodox – with all the Gold and glamour, where it is all about beeing greek. Sorry, if I say something offending.

Ah, yes. And we spoke to the members and felt, how they so much love Jesus, that even they accept uncomfort in their families or in the society because not going to the Greek Orthodox Church – every Greek is supposed to be member – and want to serve God this evangelical way. It seems to me, that even becoming a muslim is not so bad, than beeing evangelical.

After that, we made a trip to Delphi, were every Greek tourist should see the ancient history of Greek. Dead stones and lots of japanese, russian, french and american and every other nation should honor the ancient greek history. OK, we were there, too. But I personally believe, they should not honor old stones but great man like the apostle Paul. But they don’t. Men are now worshipping these ancient greek philosophers more than they worship God, the creator. The worship the creature more than the creator. But this is worth another essay. Let’s go back to the small brave church of Korinthos. We should all pray and support these man and woman so they will reach the people and be the examples Jesus wants us to be. God bless you.
